The Valentines

Guitars, synths, pink and a mix of indie pop, indie rock, 80s sounds and modern pop in one authentic package from Hradec Králové. The Valentines play in the composition of Honza Doležal – bass guitar / vocals, Ondřej Čepek – guitar / synth and Matěj Novotný – drums.

In 2019, The Valentines won the undiscovered Radio Wave Starter, earning the opportunity to shoot the video for "Did My Back Hurt Your Knife?". Their single "Just Us" also appeared as the only song in the film Tiché doteky nominated for the Czech Lion for 2019. The song, which was recorded at home in the room, with which The Valentines reached the Czech final of the Eurovision Song Contest, as well as the previous two songs, produced by frontman Honza Doležal and Filip Vlček, who is also behind their mix. The master of "Stay or Go" was then taken care of by Ted Jensen, who in the past produced albums of such names as Madonna, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones, Bring Me the Horizon and many others.

Iggy Mayer

Melancholic melodies, reverb-soaked guitars, expressive synth lines, uncompromising drum machine and lyrics about the transience of relationships and the fragility of the soul.

Iggy Mayerov is an alt-pop quartet from Prague, who first came to the attention of the Czech scene in 2019 with the single Ride. With him, they reached the finals of the Startér Radio Wave competition and opened the door for them to other Czech radio stations. Since then, you can regularly hear their music on Radio 1 or Expres FM.

In autumn 2022, they released their debut album Millennial Cliché in collaboration with producer Daniel Šubrt. Radio Expres FM ranked the single of the same name among the best pop songs of 2022.

This is followed by a collaboration with Lazer Viking, winner of the Anděl award, with whom the band recorded the Lovesick EP. The lyrics of the four songs reflect the themes of relationships, and each one offers a different perspective - from the excitement of new beginnings, through the fear of loneliness and the desire to fit in, to the realization of one's own values and the courage to leave captured patterns. The EP also includes a joint single with Lazer Viking Givin' You Up. The clip by director Petr Vlček, inspired by films by Wes Anderson and Karel Zeman, has received over 140,000 views on YouTube.
