The Underground Youth were formed in 2008 as a creative project of Craig Dyer. The band has released 11 albums and 4 EPs, developing their unique sound over the years that ranges from cinematic lo-fi psychedelia to raw noise and romantically melancholic post-punk. Wrapped in the dark aesthetics and imagery of various art film movements, The Underground Youth have built a devoted fan base. In 2012, they signed to the independent record label Fuzz Club. Relocating from Manchester to Berlin in 2016, The Underground Youth currently consists of Craig (vocals/guitar), Olya Dyer (drums), Leonard Kaage (guitar/producer) and Samira Zahidi (bass).

Saxophonist Will Vinson and pianist Aaron Parks have been meeting in various formations for twenty years. Now the time has come for them to try the most intimate and, according to many musicians, the most difficult thing: the format of just a duo. For his needs, they adapted their older warehouse by and supplement the concert program with classic jazz material, which, however, they present with a highly personal, original contribution. The joint chamber performance of such experienced musicians of the middle jazz generation will undoubtedly be a very powerful experience not only from a purely musical point of view, but also in the sense of perfect mutual communication between creators who have been "listening to each other" for a long time.

Shaun Banks is a one-man band artist, who's based in the 500-year-old mining town of Idrija, Slovenia. His music is fueled by punk rock energy and is fused in a garage with the soul and groove of blues. Shaped by the town's industrial and rural environment, Banks takes his fans on a journey through his energetic craftsmanship, heavily influenced by The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and Robert Johnson. Playing guitar and foot drums simultaneously, accompanied by his powerful and colorful voice with bluesy harmonica fills makes for a great, live show.

The musical Nine Crosses, written especially for our theater, tells an old Moravian legend about a cruel act that, according to chronicles, took place around 1540 in a small village near Velká Bíteš. A landowner from Hluboké finds the lifeless body of a man on his way home from the market in Bíteš. He takes it home, and the young foreigner - a Hungarian horse trader - recovers after a while. He falls in love with the landowner's daughter Eliška, but the father does not even want to hear about dowries. The stranger binds Eliška with a promise of loyalty and leaves to sell his estates in Hungary and return with the money for his bride. However, time passes and Luka does not return. Eliška thus succumbs to the insistence of her father and others to marry the miller's son. On the wedding day, Luka returns from Hungary and soon learns about the revelry. Crazy with rage, he swears revenge, which he will eventually carry out together with the gamekeeper Kudla. Together they wait for the wedding procession on the road near Hluboký and end the lives of the wedding guests, including the landowner, Eliška and others. In the end, he takes his mate and himself out of the world. When the other wedding guests catch up, they see a horrible scene. Nine dead bodies. In their memory, nine crosses will be erected at the site of the terrible crime, so that this story of great love and great grudge will never fade from the soil of the Highlands.

The rock sound of the band Plum Dumplings, which has been active on the alternative scene for almost twenty years, has changed significantly during that time. He is now releasing a new album, which will be released on February 7, 2025 by the Brno label Indies Scope.

Varieté Krhut is the original author's show of musician, lyricist and entertainer Jiří Krhut, whose home stage became Klub Heligonka, where he performed his repertoire in Cabaret Bo. Krhut's solo variety show is a mosaic of stand-ups, sketches and scenic songs inspired by the peculiar life not only of Ostrava and its surroundings. The performance draws you into bizarre situations from the environment such as pawnshops, money changers, markets, fitness centers, employment offices, post-fidential sales events, Stodolní street in Ostrava, Ajťáci and others. Varieté Krhut is a selection of the best of both programs Varieté 1 and 2.

Shanna Waterstown, a true "Blues Woman" with an amazing voice, presents blues, jazz and soul music at the highest level! The star of festivals in many European countries, he was honored to open the concerts of such masters as James Brown, Buddy Guy or Louisiana Red. In 2008, she had great success with the full blues album "Inside my Blues", where she sang her own compositions. Shanna earned the title of true "Blues Woman" in the minds of fans from Europe and the USA. She is one of the most exciting and young blues artists of the decade. She will be accompanied at the concert by a band made up of great musicians.

Vltava is one of the most unique Czech musical groups and at the same time a favorite fixture on club and festival stages. Colorful compositions full of images and infectious musical energy reliably reach listeners of all generations! The concert program is based on well-known compositions from the band's history and at the same time presents the latest songs from the current album "Spass muss immer sein", thanks to which Vltava was nominated for Group of the Year in the Anděl Awards 2022.

Where did opera originate? What is a libretto? Who is the inspector? And what does a scenographer need to know? You will learn this and much more at our workshop. Participants will learn about the opera genre, the production process, the operation of the theater and the professions that work in the theater. It also includes a taste of opera singing.

Choreographer Edward Clug mixed an enchanting scenic cocktail of brilliant, seemingly disparate ingredients. Shakespeare, music by the rock band Radiohead and contemporary ballet. Italian guitarist Matteo Mancuso, moving in the field of fusion of jazz, rock and funk, is still relatively young, but he has been on the scene for too long to show that the hopes placed in him were just a mistake.

Falkon beer and its musical beer bag are heading to Brno for the first time. The tops of the Czech metalcore scene, SEVERALS and Sunset Trail, will be joined on the stage of the MÚZ Cabinet by Lorelai, a talented emcee, and As They Rise. Delicious hop mochas from Falkon will occupy the bars.

We are from the Czech Republic and you ask if we can sing? An unknown couple arrives in a small Czech village from abroad, and most of the locals watch them with distrust. Only the old teacher Benda, a lover of music, opens his door to them, only to discover that the strangers are closer than they might think.

We have prepared 12 special spring concerts for you called Punk & Film Tour 2025. You will see a screening of our documentary, which we filmed in 2023 - 2024. A loose group of musicians who are happy to play anything. The main part of the repertoire consists of folk and country music, but we also like to hone in on folk music, swing or jazz. The braver ones also try serious music.

One of the most iconic personalities of the contemporary jazz scene, personifying its changeability and intertwining with other genres, proving that if something is not current jazz, it is an unexciting soundtrack to the coffee of aunts sitting on spa colonnades.

The post-music pop duo will christen their fourth album within two dates at the Cabinet of Muses. post-music returns to its musical roots and rediscovers folk, dirty guitars, grainy noise and abstract lyrics. Choruses have not disappeared, but they come unexpectedly and sometimes break into nothingness. The inspiration for the as-yet-untitled fourth studio album is Czech songwriting, old rumors, life and death. The album is released in early spring 2025.

In 1987, the harsh reality of urban life in New York's Brooklyn gave birth to one of the pioneering and even revolutionary bands that were not afraid to boldly combine the incompatible at the time: hip-hop and hardcore metal. BIOHAZARD, similar to what happened in Prague with Downset, will not come to Brno alone. They teamed up with LIFE OF AGONY, who are also an essential name of the New York music scene of the early 90s!

The Orchestral Academy of the Brno Philharmonic (OAFB) is a project that enables young talented musicians – students or recent graduates of music schools accepted on the basis of a selection process – to gain orchestral practice in a professional ensemble. In this way, the Philharmonic trains new generations of players who may one day join its ranks. The OAFB has been operating for six seasons and its fruits are already evident: some of its graduates are already members of our orchestra, others regularly return to help out. The importance and value of this experience for the artistic growth of young musicians and for the future of the orchestra is thus indisputable.

Although he was born in Switzerland, which, admittedly, is not exactly a jazz powerhouse, if you don't count the Montreux festival, of course, he had a good family background for music. When he was allowed to play the first children's drum kit at home at the age of two, and he barely had enough time to explore musically, he was already sitting on the drum stool in his father's band, a professional bassist. At eighteen, he got his first professional engagement in the band of Jamaican jazz pianist Monty Alexander, with whom he completed a European tour of major festivals and even managed to accompany such stars as Dizzy Gillespie or Nina Simone on one occasion.

You may know Jakub König as the singer and author of the songs of the bands Kittchen, Animal Named Autumn or Giant Peach. He is the holder of 3 Angel Music Awards (1x Kittchen, 2x Animal named Autumn). In September 2023, Jakub released his first solo album Hvězdy at Animal Music, which was jointly produced by Petr Ostrouchov and Aid Kid. The genre-diverse record oscillates between dance electronica and psychedelic pop and offers several ways to deal with it live.

The playlist of each anniversary concert will contain 20 of the biggest zÝo songs and there will be no shortage of news - the single "Miami" released in August or the latest song "Neprešenem snit", which will be premiered including a new video clip on YouTube 6/12/2024. We will spice up the concerts of the tour with a new stage show and we are also preparing to release a special edition of 20 years of tour t-shirts and other merchandise for you, our biggest fans. Tragedis will present traditional pure punk-rock seasoned with violin and accordion, and the playlist will of course include their hits such as "Když punkáči starnou", "Pod okny blockáku" or "Česká". 20 years of tour zázanÝovoce + Tragedis and every single concert will be a blast from start to finish, where we won't even let you breathe! We're all about playing bluegrass, especially in G, fast and loud. We do it because we enjoy it - and there are those who claim that it shows in us. The repertoire consists of melodies taken from American bluegrass and newgrass bands, but we also like to play classic country hits or songs from the repertoire of Czech rock and blues musicians. Since our English is not the most refined, and we are closer to a Moravian cellar than to a prairie with blue grass, we use Czech texts by our "court" lyricists Richard Málk, Richard Lukes, Petra Švecová and others for the English songs.
