The Orchestral Academy of the Brno Philharmonic (OAFB) is a project that enables young talented musicians – students or recent graduates of music schools accepted on the basis of a selection process – to gain orchestral practice in a professional ensemble. Tribute to the king of metal singing R.J.Dio with Jarda Barton (ex-Citron, Kreyson, Limetal). For fans of this genre, we have an amazing triumvirate of bands that will get your blood pumping and out of your chair right in front of the stage! The fresh Brno rock-metal band Decameron was founded in 2023 and plays mainly its own work + some covers. The band does not like to be boxed into a specific genre, but the female vocals of the singer Petra gently indicate which direction they are looking and we are very grateful for that. The band released their first EP in 2024 and will present their best in Melodka.

Courtesans from 25th Avenue formed in 1989 and quickly gained attention and status as a cult club band of the 90s with their energetic concerts. They were the first Czech band after the Velvet Revolution to win the Marlboro Rock-In competition, which opened the door to their first album with a major label. Participants will be offered a series of related activities that will give them the opportunity to see under the hood of the functioning of the opera theater, the opera genre and its demands. The workshop also includes a short tour of the Janáček Theater.
