The "Friendship" concert will take place on December 8 at 5:00 p.m. at the Masaryk University Faculty of Arts in Brno (Arna Nováka 1, Brno). The concerts are organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Czech Museum of Music and the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University; performances are included in the program of the Year of Czech Music. The Vilnius University Chamber Orchestra will play.

Roberta Genna – vocals, guitar, Jakub Zomer – keyboards, piano, Jan Tengler – double bass, Martin Kopřiva – drums Roberta Genna (b. 1992) studied jazz singing at the conservatory in Bologna. She reached the finals of several jazz competitions in Italy, such as Vittoria Jazz Festival, My Way Festival and also won the Pippa Ardini Vocal Award. In 2020, she participated in the TV competition "The Voice of Italy", where she advanced to the top 16. At Chicco Bettinradi's 2021 competition, she placed an excellent second.

Moravians is a folk rock band that was founded in 2021 by singer Vašek Řihák. He plays folk songs in his own special arrangements and original songs from his own workshop. Its founder, Vašek, has been dedicated to folk music almost all his life and has sung in several popular bands of this genre. His dream and goal was to make folk songs even more popular among younger listeners. In the summer of 2021, he approached Eliška Bučková as a singer, who was enthusiastic about this project, and in the fall they already played a few concerts with the band.

Michal Němec, a founding member and bandleader of the legendary band Jablkoň, surrounded himself with young musicians and together they founded a new band called Krajina Ró. Krajina Ró is characterized by the combination of a natural girl's alto and a kindly and unkindly gruff male baritone. Both voices are at home in calm poetic texts as well as harsh words thrown at decibel lovers. The band's sound is mainly characterized by inimitable effects, ethereal melodies and unprecedented rock riffs of the electric guitar, connected with a whole host of magic boxes.
Ensemble Opera Diversa: Da Pacem, Domine
With its program, this year's concert by the string quartet Diversa Quartet continues the years-old initiative of the ensemble operation to realize evenings in memory of all the faithful deceased, i.e. with a soul theme. Although delayed in terms, the dramaturgical concept itself is not strictly liturgical, but rather wreathed in the theme of sadness and commemorative dedications, aiming at a conciliatory catharsis. The title of the concert with three Czech premieres is based on the composition of the same name by Arvo Pärt, which will be heard at the very end of the evening.

An Evening with Glenn Miller and Friends
An evening in honor of Glenn Miller and His Orchestra, featuring the Original Swingtime Big Band with singer Anita Horn. Glenn Miller and His Orchestra was an American swing dance group founded in 1938 in New York and became the most popular and commercially successful dance orchestra of the swing era.
The founding of the orchestra was preceded by Miller's involvement in other orchestras, where he played as an accompanying trombonist from the twenties. He collaborated with famous jazzmen such as Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa and Tommy Dorsey. In 1942, Miller decided to support the US Army, he began performing with his orchestra in places where the US Army was active. On December 15, 1944, 80 years ago, the plane carrying Glenn Miller disappeared while traveling to see American soldiers, and the musician and conductor was declared missing the day after.
Already on December 16, 2024, listeners will remember the glorious era of the Glenn Miller Orchestra and famous hits of the 40s such as: In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, Tuxedo Junction, A String of Pearls, Pennsylvania 6-5000 , Chattanooga Choo-Choo, American Patrol, Kalamazoo,St. Louis Blues March, Star Dust, Fools Rush In, Blueberry Hill, Over the Rainbow and Serenade In Blue. The Austrian Original Swingtime Big Band with singer Anita Horn will perform the songs.
