Welcome to our website that hopes to become your guide and helping hand throughout your “music stay” in the city of Brno.

While many may know that Brno is the city of the composer Leoš Janáček, few are aware that today it is the stage for an almost incredible number of interesting music events and the place of residence of a long line of inspirational personalities and bodies from across all music genres.

It is this colourful variety and broad selection of music options that make this city unique. We would like to gradually introduce to you the vibrant music life of Brno through bringing articles about its various spheres: from classical music and opera, across musical, dance, jazz and rock to traditional music, folk, country, clubbing and music events for kids. This vast range of Brno’s music options, encompassing virtually all current genres, gave us inspiration to set up a project seeking to promote Brno as a city deserving to be named ‘a music city’.
